Generic prep tools treat LanguageCert as an afterthought

Most IELTS and PTE platforms bolt LanguageCert on as a side product and score it with the wrong rubric. They give you a number, but never tell you why you’re losing marks or which question types to fix. Proloquent is built for LanguageCert and nothing else.

How it works

Five steps, from your first interview to the level you need.

  1. 1

    Choose your exam

Tell us why you are taking the test. We set up the right exam and level for you: Academic, General, or SELT Speaking & Listening.

  2. 2

    Talk to a live examiner

An AI examiner talks with you in real time, like in the real test. It asks the questions, listens, and answers back. Each part takes a few minutes.

  3. 3

    See your marks, explained

You get a mark for each official criterion, the reason for it, and what to do next. Writing is marked the same way. Reading and Listening are marked instantly.

  4. 4

    Practise your weak spots

Your skills tracker shows which parts of the test cost you the most marks, and suggests what to practise next.

  5. 5

    Watch your level go up

Set the level you need. Your dashboard shows your level over time and how close you are to your target.

The scoring engine

See the feedback, not just a score

Submit a Writing or Speaking response and get a breakdown across the official assessment criteria for your exam, with specific, actionable feedback. Every score is mapped to CEFR via LanguageCert’s official Global Scale.

  • A score and a comment on every criterion, on your exam's own scale
  • Concrete fixes: what to change and why it raises your level
  • Your exam's own result: a CEFR level for Academic and General, Pass or Not yet for SELT

Candidate response (excerpt)

“In my opinion, remote working is better for everyone. It saves time and people are more productive at home. Companies should let all staff work remotely…”

AI examiner feedback

Task Achievement (7/8): You give a clear, justified opinion, but the stance isn’t tied back to the data. Link each recommendation to what the figures show.

Range of Vocabulary (6/8): Generally appropriate, but a few phrases are broad. Replace “better results overall” with a concrete effect.

Next step: Split into clear paragraphs and add one cohesive link between the data and your recommendation.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to pay to start?

No. A free account gets one live speaking interview and one Writing task, both marked, plus one full Reading test and one full Listening test. You don't need a card.

How do credits work?

Credits pay for the live examiner and the AI marking. A live interview uses 3 credits, a Writing task 1, and a full mock exam 12. Reading and Listening never use credits. You always see the cost before you start.

What if my interview goes wrong?

If we can't mark a practice interview (for example, we couldn't hear you or the connection dropped), your credits come back by themselves, up to three times a week, and you can try again. Past that, email us and we'll sort it out. A mock exam is paid once when you start, so its speaking parts aren't refunded this way.

Is it a subscription? Do credits expire?

No subscription. You pay once for 1 or 3 months, and nothing renews by itself. Credits from a plan last as long as the plan, and any you don't use end with it.

Are these the real LanguageCert exam questions?

No. Copying the real questions isn't allowed. All our practice is original, written to match the real exam's format, timings and difficulty.

How accurate is the AI marking?

It marks against LanguageCert's own published criteria and gives a CEFR level using the official Global Scale. Our level boundaries sit a little above the official ones, so we never mark you easier than the real exam.

Which LanguageCert exams are supported?

LanguageCert Academic, General, and ESOL SELT Speaking & Listening (A1, A2 and B1), each marked with its own official scheme.
